Gozzer Ranch Golf & Lake Club, near Harrison and about 19 miles south of Coeur d'Alene, is built around its Tom Fazio golf course, opened in 2007, and sweeping views of Lake Coeur d'Alene and the surrounding mountains. Homes with views like these need window coverings that protect the interior without competing with the scenery.
Designing for the view
When the view is the reason you built the house, the best window coverings almost disappear. Slim cassettes or recessed pockets hide the shade rolls, solar shades keep the view while cutting glare, and drapery frames the windows rather than covering them.
Glare, heat and fading
Large panes of glass and light reflected off the lake can make great rooms hot and bright and fade floors, rugs and art. Solar shades filter glare and heat and reduce UV light, and we help you choose the openness and color by looking at samples in your own rooms.
Motorized shades for homes you aren't always in
Tall windows, clerestories and great rooms are where motorized shades earn their keep. Group every shade into one scene, let them lower before the afternoon glare and rise at sunset, or control them by remote, app or voice. With the smart hub they work with Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple Home, and you can run them from your phone when you're away. Rechargeable battery motors mean no new wiring in a finished home.
For homes that sit empty part of the year, shades can lower on a schedule to protect furnishings from sun, and you can check on them or adjust them from anywhere.
Custom drapery by Carole Fabrics
For living rooms, bedrooms and the evening, custom drapery adds warmth, softness and privacy. Our draperies are handcrafted by Carole Fabrics, with more than 5,000 fabrics to choose from, and can run on a motorized track so even very wide or tall windows open and close at a touch. Layered over a solar or blackout shade, drapery gives you the view by day and a warm, private room at night.
Bedrooms and guest suites
Summer sunrise comes early in North Idaho. Blackout shades, layered with drapery, keep bedrooms and guest suites dark, and motorized options make them easy for guests to use.
Free measuring and installation
Every project starts with a free in-home design consultation led by Layla, our lead designer, who has more than 20 years of interior design experience. We bring samples to your home, measure every window ourselves and install everything with our own local team. Measuring and installation are free, and most of our products carry a lifetime warranty.
