About a mile east of the Coeur d'Alene Resort, the resort's golf course opened in 1991 on the site of the former Rutledge sawmill, and its floating green on the 14th hole became famous around the world. The homes and condominiums along this stretch of shoreline east of downtown share the same lake light and views, and the same need for window coverings that handle them.
Condos and townhomes
In condominiums and townhomes, window coverings need to look consistent from outside, work in every room and often get used by guests. Solar and roller shades in a neutral backing, zebra shades and cellular shades are popular choices, and motorized shades make life easy for owners and guests alike.
Lake glare and afternoon heat
South- and west-facing glass over the lake brings strong light and heat. Solar shades cut glare and UV while keeping the view of the water, and lined drapery helps keep rooms cooler in summer and warmer in winter.
Motorized shades
Tall windows, clerestories and great rooms are where motorized shades earn their keep. Group every shade into one scene, let them lower before the afternoon glare and rise at sunset, or control them by remote, app or voice. With the smart hub they work with Alexa, Google Assistant and Apple Home, and you can run them from your phone when you're away. Rechargeable battery motors mean no new wiring in a finished home.
Custom drapery by Carole Fabrics
For living rooms, bedrooms and the evening, custom drapery adds warmth, softness and privacy. Our draperies are handcrafted by Carole Fabrics, with more than 5,000 fabrics to choose from, and can run on a motorized track so even very wide or tall windows open and close at a touch. Layered over a solar or blackout shade, drapery gives you the view by day and a warm, private room at night.
Close to downtown
We also design for homes in the Sanders Beach and Fort Grounds neighborhoods and throughout Coeur d'Alene, with a free in-home consultation for every project.
Free measuring and installation
Every project starts with a free in-home design consultation led by Layla, our lead designer, who has more than 20 years of interior design experience. We bring samples to your home, measure every window ourselves and install everything with our own local team. Measuring and installation are free, and most of our products carry a lifetime warranty.
